STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE PARFAIT
INGREDIENTS
- 1 2/3 cup AP flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1-2 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 container of strawberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 2-3 tablespoon (or more) powdered sugar
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
DIRECTIONS
- Mix buster and sugar in a bowl
- Add egg, sour cream, milk, and vanilla, mix until combined
- Then add the flour and baking powder mixing really well together
- Add the batter to a prepared pan
- Bake at 350 for 15-20 min (until golden)
- While that is baking add the strawberries (chopped) into a bowl with the sugar and mash together
- Stick that in the fridge for later
- In a separate bowl add the whipping cream and vanilla mixing in 1 tbsp at a time of powdered sugar ( until desired sweetness) add vanilla
- Should be done once you see soft peaks
- Once the cake is done and is cooled, crumble it into pieces
- In mason jars layer the cake crumbles, strawberries and whipped cream
