STRAWBERRY MATCHA COOKIES
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter (salted)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoon matcha powder
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups ap flour
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Frosting:
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 cup butter (room temperature)
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
DIRECTIONS
- In a medium sized bowl mix together matcha, flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In a larger bowl cream together the butter and sugar, once creamed, add eggs and vanilla.
- Once combined, add the dry ingredients and mix until fully incorporated.
- Scoop the dough out into evenly sized balls, place them onto a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Put the dough balls into the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Place the dough balls a couple inches apart.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes
- Once baked, let cool and make the frosting.
- For the frosting, purée the strawberries, and set aside.
- Beat together the butter and cream cheese.
- Slowly add the powdered sugar.
- Once fully combined, add the strawberries and the vanilla.
- Put the frosting in a piping bag and frost the cooled cookies.
