STRAWBERRY MATCHA COOKIES 

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup butter (salted)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 2 eggs 
  • 3 cups ap flour 
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla 
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder 

Frosting:

  • 1 cup sliced strawberries 
  • 1 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese 
  • 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla 

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium sized bowl mix together matcha, flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  2. In a larger bowl cream together the butter and sugar, once creamed, add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Once combined, add the dry ingredients and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Scoop the dough out into evenly sized balls, place them onto a baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  5. Put the dough balls into the fridge for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Place the dough balls a couple inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9-10 minutes
  9. Once baked, let cool and make the frosting.
  10. For the frosting, purée the strawberries, and set aside.
  11. Beat together the butter and cream cheese.
  12. Slowly add the powdered sugar.
  13. Once fully combined, add the strawberries and the vanilla.
  14. Put the frosting in a piping bag and frost the cooled cookies.
