NUTTY BLANKET BARS
INGREDIENTS
Caramel layer:
- 1 1/4 cups dates (soaked five minutes in hot water)
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 3 tablespoons peanut butter
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 3/4 cup protein powder (vanilla)
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1 3/4 cups almond flour
Chocolate coating:
- 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
DIRECTIONS
- Line a small baking dish with parchment paper.
- In large bowl, add almond flour, maple syrup, protein powder, and almond milk
- Mix until combined
- Press into the baking dish, creating a base later. Freeze for 20 minutes
- Start making caramel there in food processor, blend, soaked dates with peanut butter until smooth
- Fold in the peanuts
- Once first layer is frozen (hard) remove from freezer and add caramel sauce on top
- Please back into the freezer and chill for an hour
- After an hour, milk, chocolate with coconut oil
- Remove from freezer and slice in the 12 bars
- Cope with chocolate layer (fully coated)
- Plays on parchment paper, and repeat for each bar
- Place in fridge/freezer for 12 to 15 minutes until hardened
