GRANDMA BARBARA'S CARAMEL CORN
INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup white Karo corn syrup
- 6 quarts popped corn (24 c of popped corn)
- 2 sticks butter (salted)
- 2 cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
- Boil corn syrup, butter, brown sugar and salt for 5 min
- Put the popcorn in a large bowl
- After 5 minutes, stir in the baking soda and vanilla extract
- Once everything is combined, pour the mixture over the popcorn and put in the oven that is preheated to 250 degrees Fahrenheit
- Bake for an hour while tossing the popcorn around every 15 min.
- Let cool and enjoy, for storage you can put in Tupperware or plastic bag.
- Stay good for about a week, if it isn’t already gone by then.
